The brief
Make a fashion film that could sit next to a real campaign: one model, a clear season, a point of view about the city. Then show the whole package a label would receive, film, stills and a behind-the-scenes carousel, so a fashion brand can see exactly what it would get.
The idea
Printed by the city. Downtown Cairo at noon, when the sun is straight overhead and the balconies, shutters and railings throw hard shadows. The clothes take on the city's pattern as the model moves through it. Low, intimate handheld framing, cuts on the beat, a cobalt sky behind limestone.
The storyboard
The model was cast first and locked, then each look was built as a sheet: fabric, cut, colour, how it falls. The film's shots were drawn with their camera height, lens and movement. Everything was approved on paper, including the two end cards set in ink on a limestone wall.
The production
- Nine shots generated to the storyboard, with the same model, hair and styling in every one.
- A 0.375 second beat grid: 33 cuts in 19 seconds, same-take punch-ins, two-frame white flashes with a shutter click.
- A single film grade: deeper blacks, richer cobalt and green, warm halation.
- Three vertical cut-downs and a stills set from the same production, plus a field-notes carousel for Instagram.
What this shows
A full seasonal package for a fashion label, film plus stills plus social, from one brief and without a shoot. The same method works for a real collection: send photos of the pieces and the model you want, approve the storyboard, receive the campaign.
