What drives the quote
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Length | A 15-second reel has a handful of scenes; a four-minute music video has dozens. Scenes are the unit of work. |
| Number of scenes and looks | Each scene is storyboarded, generated, checked for continuity and finished. More scenes, more locations or more looks mean more of each. |
| Real people | Matching a real artist, founder or model to their own photos and footage, with consent, takes more iterations than casting an AI actor. |
| Real products | Keeping a product exactly as photographed across every shot is careful work, especially for glass, liquids, logos and text. |
| Formats | 16:9, 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 are included; some campaigns need extra cuts, lengths or end-card variants. |
| Languages and voice | One voice-over is standard; a second dialect or language is a second recording and a second set of captions. |
| Music | An original score, a licensed track or a track you own; agreed in the brief. |
| Date | A standard film takes about nine working days. A tighter date is possible when the storyboard can be approved quickly. |
What is included
- A plan with treatment, scene count, deliverables and the exact quote, within one working day.
- Script and storyboard, with reference frames, reviewed scene by scene in Arabic or English.
- Production: generation, continuity of people and products, editing, colour grading, sound design, voice-over, captions and end cards.
- Delivery in 16:9, 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1, plus stills from the film.
- Two approvals: the storyboard and the final cut, with adjustments after the final cut until it matches the approved storyboard.
What is not included
- Media buying and paid distribution. We make the film; your team or agency runs it.
- Third-party music licences, when you choose a licensed commercial track instead of an original score.
- Talent fees for real people you bring to the film; their consent and their agreement are between you and them.
- Changes to the brief after the storyboard is approved; these are quoted separately so that the original quote stays exact.
Why there is no shoot cost
A conventional production quote is mostly things that have nothing to do with the idea: crew day rates, a location or a studio, equipment, permits, travel, catering, insurance, and a contingency for the day something goes wrong. dotMD's quote has none of these lines because nothing is filmed. What remains is the creative and the craft: writing, storyboarding, directing the generation, editing, colour, sound and voice. That is why an AI film costs a fraction of a shoot of the same length, and why a brand can afford a film for every launch instead of one a year.
It is also why the quote is exact. There is no weather, no overtime and no reshoot to pass on. Once the storyboard is approved, the price is the price unless the brief itself changes.
How to get a quote
Send the brief through the Start a project form, which takes about ten minutes, or email sales@dotmd.tech with the idea, the product or person, where the film will run and when. You receive a plan and an exact quote within one working day. Agencies that want partner terms for white-label work should see the agencies page.
